It’s 5 a.m. on a Saturday morning and Kerri Pruitt is poring over numbers–big numbers. She’s editing a grant proposal for her nonprofit organization, the Dannon Project, which offers training to newly-released men and women who committed nonviolent crimes, helping them to secure jobs, advance their education, find mentors, and more. Resources and programs are also made available to clients’ families.
